My love for Thirteen Organics continues with the discovery of their delicious whipped body butter. These adorable little pots are filled with unique scents that provide intense hydration using only organic ingredients. I picked up grapefruit mint, may chang + spirulina, and my absolute favorite, grove glow a.k.a. sweet succulence!

The Whip
These body butters are blended to perfection with luxurious, organic ingredients that are whipped on a bed of coconut oil.
Grapefruit mint is an interesting fragrance combination that is not only ultra-hydrating but ultra-uplifting! It has a refreshing mint top note, followed by a citrus grapefruit layer on a coconut base. It’s a great soothing and mood-boosting fragrance for any time of year.
May chang + spirulina is so beautifully formulated, with a delicate blend of crisp may chang and a subtle citrus note of mandarin. This soothing blend is enveloped by earthy bergamot and lavender, topped with a hint of spearmint. This one is so delicious, you just want to spread it on a shortbread cookie and devour it with a cuppa tea!
Grove glow is everything. First impressions were, OMG, I just gave myself a headache. I actually put it away for a couple of weeks, because I didn’t think I would enjoy using this fragrance. But as they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder. So, I reached for it again after a while and was completely smitten by the juicy blend of papaya, mango, plum, pomegranate, raspberry, and vanilla. It’s fun-filled and sweetly scented, but not as overpowering as it may sound. It definitely grows on you, especially when you take the time to appreciate all of the beautiful and exotic notes.
Butter Me Up!
I keep my minis on the nightstand to use right before bed. The body butters are airy, soft, and nourishing. They leave my skin with a natural, healthy glow. Because they are packed with hydrating oils, the whipped butters apply like a true butter, a bit greasy at first, but every bit worth it as it quickly melts into your skin. It’s like dessert for your body. More, please.
I enjoy using Thirteen Organics’ whipped butter in all seasons, as I find it provides just the right amount of moisture. However, I do find it to be too heavy for use in the heated temps, and at times not heavy enough to keep up with the brutal winter air. You win some, you lose some.
The Luxe
Grapefruit mint and grove glow both contain shea butter, coconut oil, and grape seed oil, all of which provide deep nourishment for the skin. Skin-soothing and moisturizing properties are further enhanced by cocoa butter, candelilla wax, vitamin E, and arrowroot extract.
May chang + spirulina has a more intricate blend of ingredients that contains the wonderful skin balancing and healing properties of babassu oil and sea buckthorn oil. Thirteen Organics also infused this dreamy butter with kokum seed butter for added hydration and spirulina for natural skin detoxification. I find that may chang + spirulina applies smoother and has a slightly richer texture than grapefruit mint and grove glow. This one is my favorite in terms of the product’s ability to hydrate my skin thoroughly.
